The Crimson Girl's Basketball team is hosting parent night on Tuesday, February 16th. The Crimson will be taking on Anoka. All parents of Maple Grove Girls Basketball players 9th through 12th grade will get in free!

Pink is the New Crimson
The Crimson girl's basketball program will be hosting its very first "PINK OUT" to raise money in the fight against women's cancers!
The event will be held on February 12, 2010 @ 7:00 PM versus Elk River! Money raised will be donated to the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund!

Volleyball Tournament Fundraisers - Cancelled!
We just received word that the Volleyball tournament Fundraisers we had planned for Jan 31st and Feb 21st have been cancelled. Ralia, who organizes these events, was unable to attract enough teams to make these tournaments worthwhile. We are looking into replacing these tournaments with a basketball tournament or some other fundraiser. Thanks to those of you who volunteered to work these tournaments. If we're successful in landing a different event, we hope we can count on you to help with that activity.

Congratulations Julie Kruse!
Congratulations to Julie Kruse on scoring her 1,000th point last night! Two points short of 1,000 when the game started it only took 15 seconds before she nailed her first bucket! The game was stopped and Julie was presented a customized game ball! After a brief trip into the stands to hug her parents the game was resumed!
Julie is only the third Crimson player to surpass 1,000 points! Tia Battle and Michelle Fricke two former 1,000 point scorers were on hand as part of a large crowd in attendance for the event!
Congratulations Julie on your achievement!

Julie Kruse Signs Letter of Intent to UMD!
Julie Kruse signed her letter of intent to play basketball at the University of Minnesota-Duluth as a part of National Signing Day. We are all very excited to watch Julie continue her basketball career! Best of luck and congratulations Julie!
