As we all know, the COVID-19 situation has really caused a lot of changes to our daily lives, and of course the athletic world! We are starting to ease back into things a bit, but there are of course restrictions and modifications.
Below is an outline of what we are currently able to do along with what we have available. We hope that things continue to improve so that we are able to offer more, but this is what we have as of now.
Groups of 10 or less including coaches.
Same ‘Groups’ need to train together.
Social Distancing needs to be applied.
Limited to skill training because of Social Distancing, no games allowed at this point.
Not allowed into MGSH gyms until June 15th per MSHSL rules.
Groups are not allowed to overlap, so one group has to be completely out before the next can enter the facility.
Staff and participants MUST self check before they come by taking their temp and monitoring symptoms. Any sign of any COVID-19 symptoms and you MUST STAY HOME!!
What we are offering right now:
Morning Mayhem is for players entering 7th-12th grade this fall.
Sessions will be 55 minutes in length and focus on position specific skills.
Sessions will be either 7:00am-7:55am or 8:05am-9:00 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday starting June 16th. We will be OFF on July 2nd and July 7th. The last date will be July 30th.
There will be an informational meeting on June 15th at 8am at MGSH outside Door D to go over all the details and determine which group you will be in.
Players are not to switch groups, even if there is a ride situation. It is just the reality that we are dealing with at this time.
Training will include basketball work, conditioning, and core strength work.
All participants will ENTER THROUGH DOOR C and EXIT THROUGH DOOR D as to minimize cross group exposure.
PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN BALL! If you need a ball we can check one out to you for the summer. As of right now, we CANNOT share a basketball with another player.
If you have any questions or concerns, please email me at email@example.com.
Thank you for your help and understanding with these guidelines during this unique time!

Crimson Basketball Players and Families,
We hope this finds you and your family doing well during this unique time. While we are all awaiting a chance to hear the bouncing of a ball and the squeak of shoes in the gym again, there’s a part of our basketball family that could use our support: our sponsors. While they’ve never scored a point, or grabbed a rebound, their support of our program is directly tied to strength of our teams.
We have over 25 local sponsors that have helped create a great season for our girls. And as a small business, many of them will be facing significant challenges over the next few months. Let’s not let our support of their business end with the last game of the season.
Like teammates in the huddle, let’s offer them encouragement. Send them a note of thanks. Order takeout. Buy a few gift certificates. Refer them to a couple friends. Let them know we appreciate them for being a part of our team.
We’ll be sending out an email reminder the first Monday of each month from now through August. Just like we’ve done fundraising nights at restaurants in the past, this is just the same, only we’re fundraising for them. We want them to keep 100% of the proceeds to support their businesses and employees. Please post pictures of your support on social media and tag @MGGirlshoops and use #ThankYouSponsors.
Say it together: 1-2-3 CRIMSON, 4-5-6 FAMILY!
These fine organizations make what we do possible. Please show your support to these amazing sponsors and thank them for their commitment to our organization. Interested in becoming a sponsor? Click Here To Send Email
