Bio:  Coach Cook is entering his 21st year as the head coach of the Crimson Girls Basketball program. Before coaching the girls at Maple Grove he was the head sophomore boys basketball coach for 2 seasons. Coach Cook has been part of the Maple Grove football program for 23 seasons and formally served as an assistant with the Maple Grove softball program for 10 seasons.  Coach Cook has been a part of over 380 wins, 8 NWSC Championships, and 6 Section Championships during his time leading the program.  He has been recognized 7 times by his peers during that time, being named Coach of the Year for Section 5 AAAA and was named the MGBCA Class AAAA State Coach of the Year for the 2024-25 season.   He served as the President of the Minnesota Girls Basketball Coaches Association from 2016-2018 and is currently serving as the Executive Director for the organization.  Coach Cook lives in Osseo with his 4 children, Cade, Charlie, Caleb, Emerson, along with his girlfriend Jess and her daughter Rilee and the family dog named Meatball.  He is in his 26th year of teaching Social Studies Education, the last 17 of which have been at Maple Grove Senior High 

Stacie Olsen

Bio: This is Coach Olson's fourth year with the Maple Grove program. Prior to joining Maple Grove, Stacie spent 13 years as a Varsity Assistant at Minnetonka. She is a Physical Education Teacher at Minnetonka Middle School East and coaches Cross Country.  Stacie went to Minnesota State University-Mankato and played four years of basketball, graduating with a degree in Education. She went on to get her master's degree in technology education from St. Mary's University.  Stacie currently lives in Maple Grove with her wife Rachael and daughter Codi.  

Jon Leyse

Bio: Coach Leyse is in his 16th year with the Crimson Girls Basketball program.  He is also a part of the Maple Grove Crimson Football and was apart of Boys Golf Program for the last 10 years.  Coach Leyse graduated from St. Cloud St. University with a degree in Elementary Education.  He later got his Masters Degree in Special Education from St. Mary's University.  Coach Leyse is currently working as a Special Education Teacher at MGSH. He and his wife Bethany live in Maple Grove with their new baby boy Wes! 

Alicia Jefferson

Bio:  Coach Jefferson is in her second year with the Maple Grove program. Previously, she was an assistant girls’ basketball coach at Coon Rapids and Andover. She is a health teacher at Maple Grove Middle School and coaches volleyball at Mounds View High School. Coach Jefferson went to Bethel University where she played four years of basketball and graduated with degrees in Health Education 5-12, Physical Education K-12, and a DAPE certification. She went on to complete a master’s degree in differentiation at Concordia University St. Paul.
